A notable success, Mats Soomre's recent presentation on the Belbin Team Roles model at TalTech IT-developers BA level course had a noteworthy effect on university students' self-awareness and involvement in teamwork. After the class, we noticed a striking change: normally reserved students, particularly first-year students, displayed previously unheard-of levels of excitement, confidence, and joy to share their knowledge with one another. They even shared their insights on the model with third-year students, a group with which they would typically avoid having an open conversation. In addition to energizing the students, this session generated vibrant conversations that carried over outside of the classroom. Teachers observed students sharing their experiences with enthusiasm and expressing fresh insights about their talents in groups. Mats was able to establish a supportive atmosphere where students felt free to experiment and share their individual contributions. Students' enthusiasm and confidence have obviously increased as a result of his work, demonstrating the significant impact Belbin may have in assisting young adults in realizing their potential in group environments. The lesson led by Mats Soomre is a shining example of effective instruction that promotes peer interaction, active learning, and personal development.
